Welcome to the 30th edition of "Rapports"
Sorry! Yes it has been a long time since the last
edition, of Rapports (Autumn 2006), we can only plead
that it was a very busy Christmas and we have been
pretty busy right up to Easter too. We have a selection of
special evenings coming up, and all the details are
below. You will see some favourites and some new
ideas also. We look forward to seeing you.
Old Favourites.
We are delighted to say that our
ever popular fixed price lunch at £10.95 for three courses
remains on the menu as does the mid week Menu Rouge
which stays on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the
evening at £12.95 including a glass of wine except on
Special and Theme nights.
What’s New
We plan to have a NEW SALAD MENU at
lunch time every day AND in the early evening
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6pm until
7:30pm except when we have one of our special evenings.
NEW Barbecue , which we will run, weather
permitting, outside on Wednesday and Thursday
evenings from late May onwards.
NEW For Fridays will be a blackboard selection of FRESH FISH.
Going To France?
We have an arrangement with SEA FRANCE FERRIES to give our
customers a 10% discount from the ferry fare. All you have to do is eat with us and then ask for
your password and information sheet when you pay your bill and then book your trip with Sea
France either by telephone or over the internet. The offer applies to Day Trip and 24 Hour return
fares, and Promotional, Early Booking, Excursion and Each Way fares. Discounts are not
available in conjunction with any other newspaper or third party offers or promotions. Full
details and terms and conditions are available in the restaurant.
Outside Catering (Bistro Catering Services) is a service available to private
individuals and corporate bodies. We can offer everything from a baguette to a banquet at
competitive rates. We offer several special menus for group bookings which can have either part or
exclusive use of the restaurant. We also have a range of takeaway meals if you want to eat at
home. Orders are taken at the restaurant on 01384 390940.

Moules Frites / Steak Frites.
Back by popular demand, an evening featuring fresh
Mussels and premier Steaks in a selection of sauces
each individually priced.
Starter and main course portions.

Thursday 17th May.
Normandy and Brittany.
A rich and varied menu featuring the produce and
style of this region. Three courses with at least four
choices for you to make for each course and the price
includes a half litre of our house wine between two
diners and the “Trou Normande”.
Vegetarian options always available.

Wednesday 6th June
Tuscan Treat.
Lets start thinking about the Summer and Holidays in
the sun.
Tuscany, France’s neighbour on the Italian border has
a rich culinary culture and our menu tonight explores
a tasty selection of classic dishes including Ribollita,
Polpettes and Maiale alla Marsala.
Three courses and half a litre of Italian wine (between
two diners).
£19.95 per person.

Thursday 21st June
Midsummer's Eve in Provence.
Midsummer’s eve always has that air of magic and
sometimes romance too.
Join us for a three course menu featuring all the
robust flavours of the Southern Countryside.
Includes a half litre of crisp chilled Rose wine between
two diners.

Friday 6th July.
Gourmet Tasting Menu
Something really new for us, and for you too. A
varied menu of small dishes for you to try, each
one carefully prepared by our chefs and served
with a selected wine to compliment its flavours.
A choice of two starters, and two main dishes
plus dessert per person with wines.

Bastille Day.
France’s premier day, and a special day here
too. Three splendid courses with at least four
choices per course.
